Some days, things can seem overwhelming.

Here are two very simple reminders for me in my relationship with the Lord.

Trust and Obey

When we walk with the Lord

In the light of His Word,

What a glory He sheds on our way;

While we do His good will,

He abides with us still,

And with all who will trust and obey.

Trust and obey,

For there’s no other way

To be happy in Jesus,

But to trust and obey.

The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.

More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

Home for the Holidays

Oh how I love the holiday season!

My husband's mother knit this stocking when he was a boy.

It's Friday! 

Today we are cutting snowflakes while listening to Christmas music.

This evening officially begins our Christmas vacation.

In our house coffee or tea is served up every morning and many an evening, as well.

The holiday season is a perfect time to gather around the table or fireplace for a warm cup of cheer, whether it be tea, coffee, hot cocoa, or cider. Enjoy this holiday season - remember to take time for those little happy moments with those you love.

The Lord is Gracious

The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.
