Well, as long as he was going to spoil me, I decided to grab the laptop and relish every relaxing minute. Ah, how good it felt! When I tired of that, if it is even possible to tire of such relaxing, I joined my husband in the living room where we cozied up to a blazing fire and watched a movie, while outside a storm was brewing, sending us gust of wind, rain, and a bit of hail. Now, can you beat that for a relaxing Saturday morning?
We need the rain. Today we have an 80% chance of more. It’s cold. It’s windy. Really, really windy! I’ve got a fire in the wood-stove…but so far, no rain. Maybe it’s just waiting to hit until after my husband arrives home from work and we can enjoy the wondrous beauty of the storm together.

I hope you are enjoying whatever weather comes your way.
My friend...your days sound perfect.
ReplyDeleteSimply perfect.
Enjoy your stormy, cozy day.
We are going to get a warm day here.
Flynn is hoping to get outside! : )
Sweet Hope, you must be an immensely early riser if "6:45" is early. I envy you that, if you are. I'm the polar opposite. A total life long night owl and since becoming chronically ill nearly 12 years ago now, I've battled painsominia (the inability to fall asleep or sleep properly because of chronic pain) ever since, so if I'm seeing 6:45am, more often not, it's because I've yet to fall asleep (most likely like tonight, given that it's nearly 6 already). Oh well, such is life and I just make the best of it. I use that quite time to write the bulk of my blog posts, catch up on feeds, reply to emails, etc - the things that I do best (online) when silence is present anyways.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs, oodles of happy Friday wishes & many thanks for your thoroughly lovely blog comment this morning (so happy to know that you prefer the new VFF title format),
♥ Jessica
Jessica, I am so sorry that you have such trouble during the night. You certainly have a great attitude on making the best of it.
DeleteI have noticed your early morning posting and comments, and have thought about how we, both being in the same time zone, were on the internet simultaneously. I just thought that you, like myself, were an early riser, not realizing that your early morning comments were a result of you never getting to sleep in the first place.
Yes, I am usually up around 4:15 a.m.. I also love staying up late, but since I cannot burn the candle at both ends and still function, I have to chose the end I love more, which is morning. Sometimes I do stay up all night, but as I am growing older, my body pays me back for such splurges in very unpleasant ways.Sometimes, instead of staying up late, I just get up earlier, around 1:00 or 2:00 a.m.
As always, such a delight to see you here!
