Cottage Roses

My husband has always grown roses.
Here is a bouquet of roses he cut from the yard for Mother's Day.

The "Sisters" is a pencil drawing my sister drew and gave to me many years ago.

  1. What a lovely nook with the roses and special picture. I'm craving a cup of tea and conversation.

  2. What a gifted artist your sister is. That pencil drawing is wonderfully, timelessly beautiful. I've always wished I could draw (or paint, etc) well, but alas, despite all my diligent practise as a child, no dice. My brother got the talent in our family on that front (same with my maternal grandma).

    Big hugs, dear friend!

    1. Thank you, Jessica. I love that drawing, and seeing it everyday by my table reminds me daily of me darling sister, who has the biggest, loving heart of nearly anyone I know. She gave that drawing to me because I gave her an acrylic painting of a girl sitting at a window. She paints often, but my painting was rare, perhaps even the only one I have ever done. I am just happy it meant so much to her.
