Dear Friends,
I am taking a long blog break. I may be back in March or April. There is too much to get done around here, and blogging can sometime get in the way. You might find me dropping in to leave you a comment from time to time.
Happy Blogging,

A Memory or Two
These old photos bring two memories to mind…
Memory #1: Sewing for My Children
Those precious days…back when I sewed nearly all my children’s clothing…that was fun.
That was before my next two babies were born – 15 months apart – even more precious days.
Much as I loved sewing, I was never quick at it…so my sewing days ended.
Memory #2: The Airplane Ride
For just $7 a person, we were able to take our little family for a ride in this airplane.
The pilot asked us where we lived and included a sweep over our home in the excursion.
Yep, that was a thrill.
One day…today will be part of those old memories.

Cozy Morning Fire
One of my favorite things in life is a hot cup of coffee by the fireside in the wee, still hours of the morning.
Today is beautifully overcast and chilly.

Snowman on My Windowpane
It has been an unseasonably dry and warm winter for us;
but today is overcast,
and I can enjoy the feel of winter looking out my window, covered in this snow scene my daughter pasted on the glass.
This cute tea set is too much fun to pack away just yet.
We are enjoying the use of it at least throughout January.
Who knows, maybe we might even keep it out until the end of February.
Have a happy weekend!

Happy New Year Cake
My daughter likes to try new things in baking.
"What does this cake make you think of?" She asked.
At once, we both exclaimed,
"Dr Seuss!"
A Joyful New Year to you!
