These old photos bring two memories to mind…
Memory #1: Sewing for My Children
Those precious days…back when I sewed nearly all my children’s clothing…that was fun.
That was before my next two babies were born – 15 months apart – even more precious days.
Much as I loved sewing, I was never quick at it…so my sewing days ended.
Memory #2: The Airplane Ride
For just $7 a person, we were able to take our little family for a ride in this airplane.
The pilot asked us where we lived and included a sweep over our home in the excursion.
Yep, that was a thrill.
One day…today will be part of those old memories.

Oh my!!! I loved these!!! Thanks for a peek at your sweet family, Hope.
ReplyDeleteYour babes look adorable!!!
So nice to see you!
I always enjoy when you share photos from the past - these are just too sweet :) And the clothes your kiddos are wearing are adorable! Thinking of you, dear Hope. Have a blessed weekend. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteFound your blog via Kerin, Billie Jo and Stephanie. Nice to meet you. My older brother has always loved to fly small planes and has photos of he and his children back in the 80's. It's always fun to see those and remember when everyone was younger. I did a lot of sewing and cross stitch when I was younger and I was never quick either!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend, Hope.
That certainly does sound like a thrill! I've taken numerous trips in commercial airliners, but never a small plane such as this. How wonderful that you have multiple photos with which to help keep the memory of this exciting day alive all the more vividly.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs & the very happiest of weekend wishes,
♥ Jessica
