My picture I use as my profile photo was taken back when I was engaged.
I use it because it brings back fond memories...that was such a wonderful day.
For those of you who might see my profile photo and think I actually am that young,
I'm not...I recently turned 50!
I thought perhaps a current photo would be appropriate;
However, I will still use my old photo for my profile
because it always reminds me of just what a spectacular man I married.

Hope! You are beautiful! I love BOTH pictures. : )
ReplyDeleteAnd for the record, I am 44. And a half. : )
Thanks, dear Billie Jo! I have to say that at 50, 44 - even with its one half - seems very young and long ago. Enjoy your beautiful age!

Oh Hope, you are SOOO beautiful! And you don't look 50...you look like you're in your 30's! Happy Birthday, lovely lady :) I will be turning 28 in April - getting closer to 30! Hugs to you, friend!
ReplyDeleteUmmm, and so, ummm, is there any chance you'll share the secret map you found that leads one to the fountain of youth? :) Seriously though, dear Hope, you look staggeringly young for 50. Put us side by side and I'm sure most people would think you're younger than I am (I'm 29 going on 30 this July). You are gorgeous, vivacious, and so very fortunate to have had youth smile on you to such an extent. I bet you're going to look even better than Sophia Loren does when you hit the age she is now.
ReplyDeleteJoyful belated birthday wishes! May this year, and new decade of your life, be amongst the best you've ever had!
♥ Jessica
*PS* Thank you very much for your great comment on today's post. I hear you loud and clear about more practical purchases trumping fashion wants. Story of my life! :)
Dearest Jessica,
ReplyDeleteYou always amaze me by your kind, sweet, and generous heart. Actually, if we were side-by-side, you would clearly see that I am 50. I think the lighting must have helped in this photo. Anyway...I thoroughly enjoy your perfectly charming comments.
Thanks for being my blog friend!
