Using the word cottage always makes things sound so much more charming.
My husband grows a small garden every year; he does all the work in it.
So really it's my husband's cottage garden.
I just go out and get the goodness from it.
Currently, I am enjoying his delicious snow peas.

You know, there are two garden products that instantly evoke thoughts of childhood for me, and snow peas are definitely one of them (raspberries are the other), as they grew in all my relatives gardens and even the tiny plot of land we devoted in the backyard of one early house to growing produce. I loved them then and still do, eaten raw, lightly steamed, in a salad, a stir-fry, you name it! :) How wonderful that you guys are are already harvesting springtime veggies. I hope you have a bumper crop of everything you've planted!
