Through the Studio Window

Sometimes getting back into something you love doing is not always easy. I love to draw but have not been drawing since last year. The thought of sitting down to draw can be intimidating. I am not sure if I will be able to draw. However, I do know that the more I draw, the less intimidating starting a new project is.

Here is my latest drawing project: Paper Doll Clothing for a FREE Nurse Paper Doll that I found. She only comes with a nurse uniform, so I thought she needed a few more outfits. I have taken my inspirations from vintage Butterick patterns. Links to download the finished paper doll dress collection can found HERE.

  2. Oh goodness those take me back! I loved paper dolls when I was a girl and would spend hours drawing and cutting out new clothes for them.
So lovely to meet someone else who loves vintage and drawing.
Thank you for the happy memories :)

  4. Thank you for your sweet comment at my blog. When I came over here and saw the first picture of a lamp in a window, I couldn't believe it. That is one of my favorite sights...a small lamp in a window on a dark night. It brings peace to my heart whenever I see it. Your site is lovely and I look forward to getting to know you here. Have a great weekend.

  5. Oh my goodness, I feel I have met a kindred heart. Your drawings are exquisite, and are giving me flashbacks of when I drew the exact same sorts of things in my college days (yours are better than mine, and no, I'm not just saying that). I began as an Art major, wanting to go into fashion illustration. Oh, and the photo through the window is wonderful! Really draws me right in....
